Reuse of IT Devices – An Effective Way to Save Nature and the Climate

Thanks to our operating model, up to 93% of IT devices can be reused instead of ending up as electronic waste. What we are unable to supply for reuse is properly recycled. This saves not only valuable natural resources but also helps avoid significant carbon emissions!

Circular Economy Calculation for the Benefit of Our Customers

When you sell your IT devices to EcoIT, we will provide you with a report and a recycling certificate after processing, detailing all data erasure actions performed on the device, as well as the natural resources saved and CO2 emissions avoided, measured in kilograms. This gives you a concrete view of how your company is contributing to a more sustainable future.

Reuse Towards a Leading Position in the Circular Economy

The reuse of IT devices is an effective way to reduce the overconsumption of natural resources. The production of electronics requires large amounts of natural resources, such as valuable metals, and has a significant carbon footprint. By reusing used IT devices instead of replacing them with new ones, we reduce unnecessary consumption of natural resources and energy, as well as the generation of waste.

The Finnish Overshoot Day falls early in the year, indicating that we are using natural resources faster than they can regenerate. This means that consumption for the rest of the year is taken from future generations. Extending the lifespan of IT devices is a concrete way to slow down this trend. Every reused electronic device saves natural resources and helps secure a sustainable future.
